    Samuel Alexander Mortimer

    Funeral Service For Bishop Samuel Alexander Mortimer, 88 a resident of Nassau East, New Providence, Bahamas, and formerly of Mortimer’s, Long Island, Bahamas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 at the Church of God Convention Center, Joe Farrington Road, New Providence, Bahamas. Officiating will be Bishop Moses Johnson. Interment will follow in the Eastern Cemetery, Doswell Street. Left to treasure the memories of Samuel are his beloved wife: Esther Marina Mortimer; son: Perry C. Mortimer (Velette); grandchildren: Perrisha and Perrico (“Little Sam’) Mortimer; nieces: Catherine Mortimer-Wilson, Roncelea Mortimer (of Tampa, Florida, U.S.A.), Angela Dean, Vivian Brown, Julie Brown, Catherine Mortimer, Gertrude Knowles, Monica Ferguson Beverly Adderley, Elaine Dean, Debbie and Zelda Hall, Sandra Sands-Dean and Denise White; nephews: Roncel, Delroy Stanley. Stanley (the Second of Tampa, Florida, USA) and James Mortimer; brothers-in law: George Heastie and Glen (“Billy”) Thompson; sister- in-law: Eva Mortimer, other family members and friends, too numerous to name including: the Lopez family, Carlton and Anita Bodie and family, Alvin and Jenny Ferguson and family, of Mims, Florida, USA… Bruce Pinder and Family, Joseph and Renee Hamilton and family, Sidney Campbell and family, Nathaniel Adderley and family, Lerone “Teno’ Williams and family, the Williamson family, Luther Smith and family.     Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Limited. Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads on Friday, March 1st, 2024 from 12:00noon to 5:00pm and at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until service time.
