Death notice for George Gladstone Sands, 89 of Sandilands Village Road and formerly of Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera, died at the Princess Margaret Hospital on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024.
He is survived by his wife: Elva Verona Sands née Douglas; daughters: Kathleen Sands-Seymour, Mary Sands-Huyler, Marilyn Douglas-Jones, Sandra Carey, Brenda Darling. Regina Watts, Melanie Sands and PJ Douglas-Sands; sons: Gary, Henry, Bruce and Perry Sands, Jeff Douglas and Shakeem Douglas-Sands; sisters: Dorothea “Dot” Sands-Fernie and Karen Bethel; brothers: Gordon, Roderick, Maurice and John Carey; adopted children: Katrena Bucknor-Sands, Bibi Cleare, Betsy Morris and Dr. Theodore Ferguson; aunts: Florence Carey-Morely and Ruby Knowles; numerous grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
