She migrated to The Bahamas where she devoted her life to caring for others as a Nurse in Andros, Bimini, Cat Island, Eleuthera, Exuma, Long Island, Nassau and many of the other family islands, from 1968 until her retirement in 1998. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Elvy’s kindness, laughter, and unwavering faith touched everyone she met.
She is survived by her Sister, Megan Olusanya of Lagos, Nigeria; her Children, Sonia, Ann-Marie, John, Andrea and Patrick; nine Grandchildren, and ten Great-Grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind five Nephews, three Nieces, and a host of other relatives and much-loved friends.
