Death notice for Lester Edward Smith, who died at his residence in Old Fort Bay (New Providence, Nassau, Bahamas), on Saturday 19th September 2026.
Lester is survived by his wife, Anne Smith. Daughters: Sarah Farrington and Katherine Bowers. Sons-in-law: Sean Farrington and Chris Bowers. Granddaughters: Elliott, Katherine, and Cecilia Farrington. Grandsons: Thomas and David Bowers. His sisters: Margaret “Peggy” Murnaghan (Patrick) and Daphne Mruz (Jack). Sister-in-law: Christina Smith. Nieces and nephews and other family members and many friends.
Predeceased by his father: Wilfred Ernest Smith, Mother: Pearl Smith (née Saunders) and brother Leonard Charles Smith.
We extend our gratitude to Dr. Dean Tseretopoulos and Lester’s Nurses: C.Huyler, A. Timar, L. Ranger, M. Ferguson, and V. McIntosh, and also The Staff and Security of Old Fort Bay Community.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Lyford Cay Foundations in memory of Mr. Lester E. Smith.
