Funeral Service For Bishop Samuel Alexander Mortimer, 88 a resident of Nassau East, New Providence, Bahamas, and formerly of Mortimer’s, Long Island, Bahamas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 at the Church of God Convention Center, Joe Farrington Road, New Providence, Bahamas. Officiating will be Bishop Moses Johnson. Interment will follow in the Eastern Cemetery, Doswell Street. Left to treasure the memories of Samuel are his beloved wife: Esther Marina Mortimer; son: Perry C. Mortimer (Velette); grandchildren: Perrisha and Perrico (“Little Sam’) Mortimer; nieces: Catherine Mortimer-Wilson, Roncelea Mortimer (of Tampa, Florida, U.S.A.), Angela Dean, Vivian Brown, Julie Brown, Catherine Mortimer, Gertrude Knowles, Monica Ferguson Beverly Adderley, Elaine Dean, Debbie and Zelda Hall, Sandra Sands-Dean and Denise White; nephews: Roncel, Delroy Stanley.
