    Anita “Fanika” Strachan

    Funeral service for Anita “Fanika” Strachan, 75 yrs., a resident of Catherine Ave. & Butler Street, Nassau Village & formerly of Mangrove Cay, Andros, will be held at Pentecostal Baptist Church, Nassau Village, on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. 

    Officiating will be Pastor Felton C. Rolle, assisted by Rev. Samuel Lightbourne & Rev. Elvina Rose Williams. Interment follows in Old Trail Cemetery, Old Trail Road.

    Memories will linger with her

    4 Daughters: Carolyn Strachan, Patrice Strachan-Bain, and Charlene Miller and Tamika Rolle-Colebrook.

     1 Son: Tyrone Smith.

    16 Grandchildren: Ricardo, Deandra, Alexis, Deborah, Andrew Jr., Andtrenique, 

    Trevor  Jr., Treyvon, Trevornique, Trevonte, Tynisha, Ashanti, Tonia, Tyrone Jr., Tyler, Tyrell.

    9 Great Grandchildren: Carlisa, Ricara, Rashae, Kiara, Jayda, Jayla, Leshantae, Trinae, and Andrew III.

    1 sister: Ruth Miller

    4 Brothers: Joshua, Cephas, Neaman, and Cyril Miller.

    2.  Sister in law: Jerry Miller and Angela Miller

    2 Son in law: Andrew Bain Sr. and Trevor Colebrook Sr.

    Numerous Nieces and Nephew: Esthermae, Sandramae, Jeffery, Mario, Shakera, Robin, Rashell, Monique, Bridgettte, Aretha, Mario, Lavron, Lamark, Carla, Shantell, Erica, CECE, Otis, Cephas Jr., Jared, Lakeisha, Natasha, Anesha, Nathan,  Shekera, Maylana,  Larita, Cyril Jr., Samson, Timothy, Joshua, Lynden, Stephen, Barbaramae, Elaine, Cynthia, Eddie, Terrilee, Ivan , Lavardo Jason  and Christopher.

     Host of other relatives and friends including: Ruthmae Meadows and Family, The Williamson family; Donnamae Bodie and Family, Paulette Dean & Family, Mae Ferguson & Family, Patricia Munnings. Krista Bethel & Family, the Carlton E. Francis Primary School Family, the Members of Pentecostal Baptist Church and the Community of Nassau Village.

    Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte’s Funeral Home, Market Street, from 10-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
