Death notice for Willem Bill Eyk, 78. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Bill. Our Lord and Saviour has called him home.
Brother to Cornelis Eyk (deceased), Jantine (Ken) Russwurm, Wolter Eyk (Nelly); John Eyk (Anna). Irene (Winston) Greeley and Margaret Eyk. He will be remembered by his nieces and nephews.
Bill’s life vocation was Professor of Mathematics at the University of the Bahamas. His students spoke of him fondly.
Bill was an accomplished pianist. He loved classical music. He was involved with the Bahamian Music Society. While in the Bahamas he was music director and pianist at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk. While in Canada he was pianist at the Collingwood Christian Reformed Church.
The memorial service for Bill will be held at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk, Princes Street, Nassau, Saturday June 15th at 10:30 a.m.
Reverend Bryn MacPhail will officiate.
Donations in Bill’s memory to The Princess Margaret Hospital, Shirley Street, Nassau are gratefully accepted.
