FUNERAL SERVICE for Derek Adams Sr., 67 affectionately called “Charlie The Yellow Bahamian” of Nola Circle, Turtle Drive, Carmichael Road who died on Sunday, August, 27th, 2023 will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, 2:30 p.m. at Bahamas Faith Ministries, Carmichael Road. Officiating will be Pastor Dave Burrows assisted by Other Ministers of The Gospel. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, John F. Kennedy Drive.
He is survived by his wife: Susan Adams; children: Derek Adams Jr., Emmanuel Adams, Dereka (Jarvis) Grant, Dorthea (Dora) Adams, Derescia Adams, Ashanti Adams, Tianne (Burton) Bowleg and Marissa (Shawn) McDonald; siblings: Pastor Dave Adams, Timothy Adams, Larry Adams, Jerrylee Rolle, Joan Adams, Stephanie Adams, Joy Adams and Sally Bodie, Louis Adams Jr., Robert Adams, Roy Adams, Seron Adams, Ruth Adams, Marie Adams, Nathaniel Adams, Paulette Adams, Lori Adderley and Andrea Mcdonald-Straw (Bernard); grandchildren: Jahmai Ja’Daj Ja’Dal and Ja’Dei Grant, Hakeem Adams and Kayden Muschette, Shaniya Heastie, Georgina Smith, Nebraska Ferguson, Turon and Brea Bowleg and Arianna McDonald and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends, too numerous to mention.
Viewing will be held in the Legacy Suite at Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Center, Mt. Royal Avenue and Talbot Street on Friday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. and again at the church on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
