Death notice for Janiya Aaroneka Cooper-Welsh, 18 of Seymour Drive, Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas and formerly of New Providence, Bahamas died at the Princess Margaret Hospital on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
She is survived by her mother: Alexandria Bowe; father: Dr. Michael Welsh; step mothers: Jessica Welsh and Ebony Cooper; step father: Aaron Cooper; brothers: Mickyle Welsh, Michael Welsh Jr. and Israel Cooper; sisters: Erin and Esther Cooper; grandparents: Nicole Bowe-Jean and Ann Cooper; grandfather: Sterling Cooper; grand aunt: Sharon Stubbs; aunts: Insp Lashanda Francis, Charlsene Smith, Sgt 3257 Lakiera Williams, Lorizeria Jean, Paige and Alana Cooper; uncles: Sgt 3174 Sterling Francis Jr., Advardo McQueen, Andrew, Cordero Henricks Bowe and Quincy Cooper, and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements are being finalized and will be announced at a later date.
