Funeral Service For King David Deveaux, 87 affectionately called “Babby’
a resident of Gun Hill Road, Fox Hill and formerly of Hard Hill, Acklins. Bahamas who died on Monday, October 2, 2023 will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, 10:00a.m. at New Destiny Baptist Cathedral, Gladstone Road. Officiating will be Apostle Delton D. Femander, J.P., Ph.D., CMG; assisted by Other Ministers of Religion. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Gladstone Road and John F. Kennedy Drive.
He was predeceased by his father and mother: Alpheus and Clarinda Deveaux; brothers and sisters, wife and daughter Eulamac Deveaux.
Left to cherish his memories are his two surviving sons: Retired Superintendents of Police David and Dec. Wendall Deveaux; daughter-in- law: Pastor Katie Deveaux; grandchildren: Pamela Miller, Latoya Green and Jessica Charlton, Edwin (Krisana), Pastor Shianica, Shervon, Randell, Shamica, Wendall Jr., and Cedanio Deveaux, Anthon Kristal, Tristan and Audley Deveaux; great grandchildren: Sherika Hopkins, Ashford Ferguson, Jahni, Jahzavier, Nigeria and Cattleya McPhee, Píarjanac, Edwin Jr. and Cardre Deveaux. Viewing will be held in the Legacy Suite at Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Center, Mt. Royal Avenue and Talbot Street on Friday from 12:00noon to 5:00 pm and again at the church on Saturday from 9:00a.m. until service time.
