He was the son of the late Cleveland Wells and the late Edna Burrows-Smith and was raised with the loving guidance of his stepfather, the late Cephas Smith. Husband of Sherry Smith and Father of Sonia Smith-Roker, Dion Smith, and Antoine Smith.
Left to cherish Wilbert memories are his wife: Sherry Smith; children: Sonia Smith-Roker, Dion Smith, Antoine Smith; grandchildren: Jaz Smith, Jade, Jaden, Jada Roker, Diona, Dion Jr., Dionté Smith, Dionce Smith, Diontanae Smith, Diontanique Smith, Chloe Smith; great-grandchildren: Leo Morley Jr., Omarie Johnson; siblings: Katy Cumberbatch-Smith, Valarie Smith; brothers-in-law: Frank Dean, Thomas Dean, Hezekiah Dean, and Bernard Martinborough; sisters-in-law: Naomi Devaney, Gwendolyn Martinborough, Ruth Johnson, Marsha Dean, and Thelma Dean; Nieces and nephews, other close family members, along with a host of relatives, friends, and loved ones.
