    Funeral service for Lay Reader Sherol Marie Johnson, 64 affectionately called “Nana” a resident of Harbour Island, Eleuthera, Bahamas who died at Regional Memorial Hospital, Florida on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, December 23rd, 2023 at St. John’s Anglican Parish, Harbour Island. Father Bryton Ward assisted by other Ministers of the Gospel will officiate. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Harbour Island, Eleuthera, Bahamas.

    daughters: Carola Marie (Terrence) Allen and Oprah Valencia Johnson; three brothers: Christopher Nairn (deceased), Thomas Higgs Jr. and Darren Higgs; six sisters: Deborah (Danny) Wilson, Tracy Bethel Sweeting, Jacqueline Callender, Permal Nairn Schimpf (Al Schimpf), Loretta Nairn Francisco, Linda Higgs (deceased); eight grandchildren: Linksley Johnson Jr., Bethany Williams, Aryelle Forbes, Linsleya Johnson, Dylan Walker, Agdral Stubbs, Angel Allen and Celina Allen; one great grandchild: Ciara Thurston; five adopted sisters: Jennifer Cleare and family, Nora Albury and family, Cheryl Darville and family, Mary (Beth) Hatcher and family, Nancy Percentie & family; four sisters-in-law: Jessalee Mackey and family, Paulette/Gregory Higgs and family, Wilhelmina Smith and family, Thomas and Elizabeth Higgs and family, and Helen Johnson; seven brothers-in-law: Eardley Johnson and family, Antonias Johnson and family, Paul Johnson and family, Joseph Johnson and family, John Johnson and family, Harold Johnson and family.     Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at THE CHAPEL OF MEMORIES THE NEW COMMONWEALTH FUNERAL HOME, INDEPENDENCE DRIVE on (TODAY) Thursday from 2:30-7:30 p.m. and in Harbour Island on Friday at the Wesley Methodist Church from 5:00p.m. and again at St. Johns’ Anglican Church on Saturday from 9:00a.m. to service time.
