    Death Notice For Retired Chief Inspector of Royal Bahamas Police Force Mervyn Burbe Alexander Fynes, 82 of #2 Stephen Close off Prince Charles and formerly of Smith’s Hill, Andros died at the Princess Maragret Hospital on Sunday, January 7th, 2024.
    He was predeceased by his parents: Alexander and Gwendolyn Fynes; sons: Marvin Fynes and Mervin Fynes; sisters: Midgrum Fynes; brother. Wellington Fynes;
    He is survived by his wife: Mary Melrose Fynes; sons: Stephen, Karus and Codero Fynes; daughters: Brenda Daxon, Nicola & Norma Fynes and Savetheda Fynes-Cook; sisters: Janet Fynes-Bain and Cleora Pratt, daughters-in-law: Margarette Fynes, Keishel Fynes and Dr. Tamika Fynes; sons-in-law: Clyde Daxon and Patson Cook; sisters-in-law: Helen Tillach, Vanria Cox (Gustauvs). Penal Wilson-Woodside, Sheina Rebuke, Patrice Wilson and Patricia Wilson; brothers-in-law: Ezikel “Chuck” Pratt, Ricardo “Rex” Wilson (Laverne); twenty-two grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, numerous nieces & nephews including: Ellison & Daphane Smith and other relatives and friends.
    Arrangements for the funeral service are being finalized and details will be announced at a future date.
